Campbell police: San Jose man arrested for identity theft after search turns up 50 counterfeit credit cards

CAMPBELL — A San Jose man was apprehended this week on suspicion of identity theft and other charges after a search of his home turned up more than fifty counterfeit credit cards, according to police.

Detectives launched an investigation after Hoang Do, 38, made abundant fraudulent transactions at Sports Basement and Whole Foods Market in Campbell, police commented Friday.

In addition to the counterfeit credit cards, detectives found thousands of dollars’ worth of items that were purchased with them during a search of Do’s home Mon according to police.
